ThinkPeople Nexus combines the seven displayed scores into its Sovereign Index. It is not an official statistic or a new Malta Observer score.

Sections may be updated at different times.
The report pages use a simple “Evidence snapshot” label. Exact collection dates, coverage and production notes remain available in the source-and-date disclosures and on this page. A newer publication date does not make every figure equally current.
05 · EDITION CONTINUITY
The complete dated edition remains available.
If an update is unavailable, the complete published edition remains visible and is not presented as newer material. Exact evidence dates remain in the source-and-date disclosures.
06 · FAIR COMPARISONS
Like is compared with like.
EU comparisons use the same definition, year and EU reference, with any important limits stated. Findings about workers, workplaces and the national population stay separate. National figures are not turned into company scores, company findings are not treated as national results, and interviews are not presented as though they show how common something is.
07 · HOW THE PARTS FIT TOGETHER
The scoring facts come before the index; the Observer creates no new score.
How the resilience score is built. Credit, economic stability and geopolitical stability each make up 20% of the score. Political stability, institutional integrity, AI readiness and wellbeing each make up 10%. Each part shows its score, why it matters and its sources; this method note records the exact evidence date. ThinkPeople Nexus combines these seven scores into the Meridian — ThinkPeople Nexus Sovereign Index. The individual scores are not seven official national indicators.
The wider views stay separate. Business, Conflict Resilience and Vision 2050 are not added to the Sovereign Index. Work, skills and wellbeing evidence are also not combined to create a new Malta Observer score.
The Skilling Observatory. Eight parts of Malta’s capability picture cover digital work, skills, retraining, inclusion, wellbeing, human judgement, leadership and demand. Each is shown with a national figure, but the figures are not added into a national rating or turned into an organisation score.
Sources for the Sovereign Index. Sources were reviewed on 28 September 2026, but the score uses the evidence dated 17 August 2026. It includes one Eurostat wellbeing measure and no NSO figures. NSO figures elsewhere on the site provide context but do not affect this score. ThinkPeople Nexus chooses the indicators and how they are combined; listing a source does not mean that the source endorses the score.
Euro estimates. Nominal GDP and GDP per person show estimated euro values beside the original IMF US-dollar figures. The estimate uses the ECB reference rate recorded for this edition, dated 14 August 2026; it is not an IMF euro series.
How the country tables are ranked. The Sovereign Index and Business Attraction tables place higher scores first. The Conflict Resilience table ranks only the ability to cope with shocks; exposure is shown separately. Regional averages are left out, countries with the same score share a rank, and each table states its number of countries. Exact snapshot dates remain in the supporting source records.

Source identity and dates are checked before publication.
Before publication, we check source names, dates and the information needed to read each figure correctly. Technical administration stays out of the public pages.
